How pattern testing works

Every new design starts as a Tester Edition. Its stitch math is machine-checked, but nobody has crocheted it yet, so it is sold at a low tester price ($0.99) and shown with a concept sketch, never a fake product photo.

1. Buy a Tester Edition and download the PDF.
2. Make it. Note the finished size and any round that did not match the stitch count.
3. Open the report link on your download page or email, answer the short checklist and upload at least one photo of your finished piece.
4. Automatic checks run in a few seconds (paid order, one report per pattern per order, real photo). If everything passes, you get 1 free download credit on screen and by email right away. If something is missing, we tell you what to fix and you can resubmit.
5. Use your code on any pattern page or at checkout. Look up your codes any time on My credits.

When 3 testers have made a pattern successfully and agreed to share their photos, it becomes Verified: their real photos replace the sketch and it moves to the normal price. If two or more testers report a problem on the same round, we fix the pattern before it can be verified.
